RETURNS AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Return and Cancellation Policies: Our
primary goal is to ensure the customer receives the correct genuine replacement
parts before an order is processed. We provide you with an easy way to acquire
parts as a do-it-yourselfer. We
want to make your return process as easy as possible and work with you to
resolve this. We
will accept a return if the parts are unused, in their original packaging, and
have been determined to be shipped in error by us. You must allow us to
determine if we have made a mistake so we can correct this at no cost to you.
Example: You ordered a light switch, but you needed a motor. This is not our
mistake. Contact customer service for more information on how to exchange this.
NOTE: Some parts look or are installed differently from the original due to
design changes and updates made by the manufacturer. A part that has been
updated in design by the manufacturer is not considered an incorrect
part. Updates are made to parts due to design changes or improvements to the
part quality. Part numbers can also change. If the part we sent looks different
from the original and you are unsure the part will fit, call us or email us and
we can help verify this. You may have the correct part or the only part
available for your model. Please be aware that
some parts are not able to be returned in this type of industry. In
some cases, we will offer you store credit on non-qualified returns or
cancellations. Even
certified licensed contractors are unable to return certain parts to the
manufacturer. We cannot resell non-returnable
parts due to the safety
risk to other end users. These include electrical and gas parts. This
is an “Industry Standard Policy”.
If you receive an incorrect part or have any questions about how to
return a part, you MUST contact RETURNS@EXPERTAPPLIANCE.COM for the RMA number as no package will be accepted without an RMA
number on the box. This RMA request must
be made within 7 business days of the delivery of your order to qualify for
credit. All qualified returns must be received within 14 days of purchase and
must be inspected for use or damage.
All returned packages should
include insurance to cover possible damage in shipment. We are not responsible
for a return that is received damaged by the shipping company and/or incorrect
packaging by the customer.
Special and made-to-order items cannot be
returned. They can only be exchanged if they have been determined by us to be
incorrect or defective. You will then be charged a 50%
restocking fee minus shipping. Returning an item without an RMA number from the
customer service department with instructions on where to return it will void
any credit or exchange. Credits can take up to 30 days. In some cases, you may
also have the option for a store credit for the total amount of your return,
saving the 50% restocking fee and shipping. Store credit must be approved by the
returns department. If you are issued store credit you will be given a store
credit number by email for you to use on other parts at any time. This does not
apply to special and made-to-order items.
Non-Returnable Parts:
Electrical
and gas parts. Electrical and gas parts include
but are not limited to any part that requires electricity or gas connection to
work or has wire/s, wire connection, or terminal on the part. This also
includes any part that has a partial wire or wire connection. Other examples:
pump and motor or blade and motor. The blade has no electric part, but the motor
does, and it is sold together. These parts cannot be returned under any
circumstance, only exchanged if defective or it has been determined by our
research department that we shipped the incorrect parts based on your original
order and the model and serial numbers provided when your order was placed.
Other Non-Returnable Parts:
Some
examples of non-returnable parts include but are not limited to: bi
metals, boards, bulbs, burner blocks, burners, Cal rods, cam stats, capacitors,
circuit boards, clocks, coils, coil kits, cold controls, compressors, condenser
coils, condenser fan blades, contactors, control panels, controllers, conversion
kits, custom made filters, cutting grids, defrost boards, detergent cups,
detergent dispensers, door hinge, door hinge components, door gaskets, door
seals, draft inducer motors, draft motors, electrodes, elements, evaporator
coils, exhaust motors, fan centers, flame sensors, fuses, gas valves, harness,
heaters, heat exchangers, icemakers, igniters, ignition boxes, ignition
controls, ignition modules, ignitors, inducer motors, limits, limit controls,
magnetrons, manifolds, motors, overloads, pilots, pilot generators, pressure
switches, pressure valves, pumps, regulators, relays, restring kits, reversing
valves, sequencers, sockets, solenoids, sparkers, spark modules, stats,
switches, thermals, thermal cutouts, thermal kits, thermal limits,
thermocouples, thermostats, time delays, timers, touch pads, transformers,
valves, wig wags.
Returns
of electrical, gas, and non-returnable parts will not be processed. Any
installed, used, scratched, or damaged parts by the consumer cannot be returned.
Special and made-to-order parts cannot be returned or canceled under any
circumstance once placed. Parts that are no longer available/obsolete cannot be
returned.
Cancellation Policy:
An order for products or services
represents a commitment on the part of both the customer and the supplier.
Processing an order requires an allocation of time, processing fees charged by
the credit card processor/bank, and other resources unseen to the customer. We
employ the following order cancellation policy. Cancellations must be done
within 1 hour of the order being placed and be done before 2 PM EST on the date
your order was placed online or by phone. Cancellations can take 7 days business
days before any credit or refund to a credit card or check can be issued. We
reserve the right to refund the purchase in the form of store credit. This does
not apply to special and made-to-order parts. No cancellations will be accepted
due to shipping delays caused by the shipping carrier, shipments that went
ground instead of rush, or incorrect delivery address information given by the
customer. We will reship another order at no charge if the delay was determined
to be our mistake. Parts that are being reshipped must be in stock. We shall not
be liable for losses caused by the shipping carrier. UPS, USPS, FED EX, etc. If
you need to cancel an order before it has been shipped, pending shipment, and/or
before it has been processed there will be a charge of $30.00. Note: if it has
shipped, you must follow the return policy guidelines and instructions listed
above.
SPECIAL AND MADE TO ORDER ITEMS/PARTS: Special order parts including made-to-order parts made with the factory and/or the manufacturer cannot be canceled under any circumstance. No refund will be given for special orders, made-to-order, and back-ordered parts.
Chargebacks: Chargebacks will be accessed a collection fee of 100% of the original purchase amount.
Part Warranty-Defective Parts:
Limited Part Warranty:
Parts carry a limited 1-year warranty
from the date of purchase. Electrical parts carry a full 30-day warranty from
the date of purchase if a qualified licensed repair company has installed them.
This must be verified with an invoice from the repair company that did the first
and original installation, not after an unlicensed individual has attempted and
failed to install them. No warranty, exchange, or refund will be given for any
electrical parts that were installed by an unlicensed individual or repair
company. If the parts were initially installed by a qualified licensed
technician, they must be returned within 30 days for exchange only. These parts
must accompany the original packing materials. They must be returned first for
inspection for damage, power surge failure, misuse, or improper installation. If
this is found, the warranty will not apply, and no refund will be given. Parts
that are determined to be defective after 30 days for up to 1 year from the date
of purchase will be replaced at a charge to the customer of 50% off the
purchased price. Shipping and handling charges will be additional.
Compressors: To file a warranty claim on a compressor with the manufacturer you will first need a repair invoice with letterhead from the authorized technician or licensed service company that states the following: 1.) Date of installation. 2.) Detailed problem with the installation (Pictures can speed up the warranty process). 3.) Type of freon used for the installation. 4.) Method and length of the vacuum put on the compressor before start-up for the first time. 5.) List of low-side and high-side pressures noted after installation or while experiencing the issue. 6.) The technician's final diagnosis along with the symptoms experienced with the new compressor. 7.) Photo of the model and serial numbers of the unit where the compressor was installed in. NOTE: Without providing all this information we cannot process a warranty claim on compressors.
Non-Electrical Parts: Non-electrical parts carry a full 30-day warranty from the date of purchase, they must be returned within 30 days as defective items for an exchange only. They must be returned first for inspection for damage, misuse, or improper installation. If this is found, the warranty will not apply, and no refund will be given. Parts that have been found to be defective after 30 days for up to 1 year from the date of purchase will be replaced at a charge to the customer of 50% off the purchased price. Shipping and handling charges will be additional. To return defective material must contact customerservice@expertappliance.com.
Parts that are no longer available/obsolete per the
manufacturer: Parts
that are no longer made or available carry no warranty and are sold as-is.
